The Seed Hawk air drill provides the most precise seeding technology on the market. Delivering unmatched seed and fertilizer placement in one pass, it is perfect for all soil conditions. The Seed Hawk Air Drill comes in widths ranging from 40’ (12.2 m) to 84’ (25.6 m). Seed Hawk Air Drills can be configurated for 10” (254 mm) or 12” (305 mm) row spacing.
A seed’s greatest potential is at the time it is placed in the ground. For over 30 years, Seed Hawk’s innovative opener design has been the heart of the Seed Hawk Air Drill. Each independent dual-knife opener and packer assembly provide the precision seed-to-fertilizer placement required for outstanding emergence. Seed Hawk toolbars are offered in a variety of sizes with multiple spacing and seed placement options, enabling you to choose the right fit for your operation.
Seed Hawk’s industry-leading opener assemblies operate independently for superior shallow seeding, depth accuracy, and optimal fertilizer placement. The result is quick, uniform germination, even packing, and consistent performance in all soil conditions.
Each opener assembly follows the ground independently by pivoting at the frame, controlled by its own adjustable hydraulic cylinder. A range of seed and fertilizer knives are available to suit every seeding style.
Seed Hawk 40-84 come in 5- or 7-plex frame sections, allowing them to follow the contours of the land. With a contour following range of 18" (46 cm), the independent opener assemblies deliver consistent seed depth, regardless of the terrain.
The Seed Hawk Sectional Control Technology™ is an innovative way to minimize overlaps and save on input costs. In the field, the Fenix III seed meters on the Precision Delivery air cart work seamlessly with the Seed Hawk Air Drill to allow full control of the output on each 10 foot section of the machine. It works in conjunction with the onboard GPS to lift openers when previously seeded ground is encountered, and shut down metering of seed and fertilizer, which reduces ground disturbance and doubling up of inputs.
With the advanced SCTx option, the machine is fitted with an additional GPS receiver mounted on the tractor to greatly enhance system capabilities. This means more complex manoeuvres in the field and unprecedented capabilities to properly predict where the air drill should turn off and on.
Now you can watch for blockages from the cab as the blockage system monitors product flow on your Seed Hawk seeding system. If a blockage is detected, it immediately delivers quick, accurate notification of the exact location to your iCon wireless control system.
Product leaving the manifold bounces off a stainless-steel membrane as it enters the seed or fertilizer run, creating a small sound wave. If there is any change in the sound wave, it is picked up by acoustic sensors that detect the blockage to trigger audio and visual alerts on your tablet.
When a blockage location is identified, you can take your tablet out of the tractor cab and carry it with you as you locate the blockage and fix the issue. No more misses.
SBR technology uses a curved paddle sensor that floats above the ground to detect nearby stubble rows. It is connected to hydraulic cylinders that move the hitch and keep the openers between the rows, improving seed and fertilizer placement even more.
Seed Hawk 70-84 Air Drills are now updated with Stainless steel primary lines. Stainless steel ensures growers the best possible experience, ensuring years of trouble free operation with reduced maintenance. Stainless steel center section is not included on tow-between versions of the Seed Hawk 70-84.
