Tempo L Central Fill is available with 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 24 or 32 row units. It is equipped with a high-capacity central seed hopper, sending out seeds to the row units. Tempo L Central Fill delivers unmatched planting capacity and precision. Additionally, it manages a full range of seeds - from small seeds like canola, to corn and high rates of soy beans.
Väderstad Tempo is a new generation high-speed planter, delivering an unmatched precision at double the speed of traditional planters. No-till, min-till or conventional tillage – Tempo performs exceptionally in all conditions. The crops gets the best start possible which results in an even emergence.
The technology behind the new Väderstad Tempo Central Seed Fill system is very intuitive. There is no central motor metering out seeds - instead each row unit regulate the number of seeds needed to assist its individual high-precision PowerShoot seed metering system.

Underneath the central 85 bu (3,000L) seed hopper, there is a feeding system for the row units. If there is an airstream in one particular gate, that gate will pick up seeds and send it out to the row unit. Every gate supports two row units thru a divider on the wings.
On each row unit there is a collector on top of the PowerShoot seed metering system. The collector works as a small buffer of seeds. When the collector is full of seeds the airstream in the feeding system stops, meaning that the transport of seed stops for that row unit.
When the seed level in the collector later starts to run low, the airstream starts again making the Central Seed Fill system transport seeds to fill up the collector. This means that each row unit will call for seeds, when needed, by themselves.
The larger Tempo L Central Fill 16 and 24 can be equipped for seed and fertilizer metering. The fertilizer is metered via the high capacity metering system Fenix III. The metering capacity for fertiliser is up to 312 lbs/acre (350kg/ha) at 15km/h or 9.3 mph.
The seed-only models are equipped with a central 85 bu. (3,000L) hopper for seeds, while the seed and fertilizer models utilize a 204 bushel 204 bu. (7,200L) hopper with two compartments: 62 bu. (2,200L) for seed, and 142 bu. (5,000L) for fertilizer.

To ensure the transport wheels follow the row spacing, Tempo L is fitted with a telescopic wheel axle which can be easily adjusted from the cab. So whatever the row spacing, the transport wheels can be adjusted to always run between the seed rows. The wheel axles are easily set to 10' (3 m) width for transport.

Tempo L is equipped with hydraulic wing pressure which transfers weight from the inner section of the machine to its outer wings.
This enables Tempo L to respond to any irregularities on the field and ensure an even emergence.
The iPad-based control system, Väderstad E-Control wirelessly delivers data about each seed that travels through the machine, including seeding quality, skips, doubles, distance in the row, and rate.
You benefit from user-friendly remote set up and calibration, as well as easy, real-time monitoring and control.
With the iPad you can upload the most recent program software which allows you to benefit from future developments.

To fit different farming needs, Tempo L with Central Fill, is available with or without fertilizer output. The seed-only models are equipped with a central 85 bu. (3,000L) hopper for seeds, while the seed and fertilizer models utilize a 204 bu. (7,200L) hopper with two compartments: 62 bu. (2,200L) for seed, and 142 bu. (5,000L) for fertilizer.
The electric driven Fenix III has the capability to adapt the fertilizer rate to varying field conditions by using a variable rate system. The high capacity fertilizer coulters maintain the high precision even at high speed.
Fertiliser kit
The hopper is easy and safe to access via a platform and its large opening improves filling time and reduces downtime in the field. The fertiliser coulters are spring-loaded and can apply a force of 150kg, which also is sufficient when direct planting. The fertiliser is placed 5cm beside and below the seed. The gauge wheel on the fertiliser coulter has two tasks - to control the depth and to reduce the soil throw from the fertiliser coulter.
The row cleaners are an option on Tempo. The task of the row cleaners is to remove crop residues, clods and stones. The demand for row cleaners is much higher when planting into no-till or when planting into fields with large amount of residues.
Floating row cleaners
Each row cleaner is mounted on a parallel linkage, enabling it to precisely follow the field surface. The working intensity is easily configured with a spring, which makes it possible to either add or relieve pressure from the row cleaner. The row cleaner is fitted with a self-cleaning rubber wheel, controlling the depth setting of the high quality spiked row cleaner disc. With optimised working angles, the floating row cleaners are designed to perfectly match the capacity and precision of Tempo.
With Tempo, planting can be carried out at very high speed, without compromising exceptional precision and accuracy. Tempo is extremely accurate and the seed meter assures perfect placement for every seed. This precision is of greatest importance to maximise the yield.
16mm seed system
The 16mm seed system comes as standard. It is optimised for seeds under 15mm diameter.
22mm seed system
When planting large seeds over 15mm diameter, it is possible to equip Tempo with a 22mm seed system instead of standard 16mm.
Small seeds kit
The small seeds kit for Väderstad Tempo improves results when planting small seeded crops, such as oilseed rape and sugar beet. Planting a small seeded crop at shallow planting depth requires the planter to be very gentle to the seed. When the seed is planted the closing wheel shut the seed slot and ensures perfect conditions for germination. Depending on farming requirements, the interface further allows for several industry-standard third-party closing wheel solutions.
Spiked closing wheel
A spiked closing wheel if often used when direct planting. This closing wheel is also a good option when planting in heavy clay soils.
Narrow closing wheel 25mm
The task of the closing wheel is to close the seed furrow. The force on the closing wheels can easily be adjusted, and it is also possible to set the closing wheels off-set.
Wide closing wheel 50mm
The wide closing wheel is often used when planting very shallow. This closing wheel can also be used in conventional planting when planting maize and sunflowers.
Treaded closing wheel 50mm
By reducing the risk for crusting, the treaded closing wheel optimises the conditions for shallow planted seeds, such as sugar beets and oil seed rape
