Carrier XT 425-625 is a mounted foldable disc cultivator with discs positioned in an x-shape, available in 4.25, 5.25 or 6.25 metre working width. It can be fitted with 450 or 470mm diameter discs. It has excellent contour following and impressive penetration ability for its weight. The working depth is set from the tractor cab, enabling adaptation to varying conditions in the field.
Carrier is a disc cultivator used for high speed primary tillage and seedbed preparation. The wide range of front tools, discs and packers enables Carrier to handle the versatile challenges of modern farming – from ultra-shallow cultivation to a deeper incorporation. The versatility it brings to the farm saves passes, decreases machine cost per acre and provides the best start possible for the coming crop.
Carrier 420-820 can be fitted with either 450mm discs or 470mm TrueCut discs. Both discs produces fine tilth optimal for a stale seedbed.
The 450mm disc has small cut-outs, resulting in an intensive cultivation even at a very shallow working depth. The 470mm TrueCut disc has larger cut-outs which can handle more crop residue with increased penetration.
CrossCutter Disc performs outstanding in oilseed rape stubble and in cover crops, while also enabling great advantages in grain stubble as well as on ploughed land. Because of its disc shape and high quality Swedish steel, CrossCutter Disc provides full cut-out and intensive mixing at shallow working depth. This means that an extensive stale seedbed is created over the entire field.
The discs are positioned in an x-shape, which enables the lateral forces to cancel each other out. The x-disc format guarantees that the machine will always run dead straight behind the tractor. This saves diesel but is also essential when using a GPS guidance system or when driving in hilly conditions.
To gain full control, the working depth is controlled hydraulically from the cab. This provides Carrier X with high precision and versatility on varying soil types.
The depth setting is easily carried out, without the need for top link adjustments.
Carrier XT 425-625 is mounted on the three-point linkage, which offers a high ground clearance and very good mobility.
The transport width is only 2.4 metres and even when folded you maintain a good rear view from the cab.

By incorporating slurry at the same time as it is applied, more nutrients become available for the subsequent crop. Väderstad has designed solutions to connect a third part slurry distributor head. In order to adapt to the harsh environment associated with fertiliser delivery, Carrier X can be delivered as a slurry edition.
The kit includes a galvanised frame, piston rod protection, a hydraulic wing lock and stainless steel hydraulic couplings.
The result is a machine with a very long life in extremely demanding environments.
Two rows of high quality V-55 hardened Swedish steel discs aggressively cuts and mixes harvest residues down to 12cm working depth. The conical shape of the discs ensures a long working life and good crumbling of the soil.

The 450mm conical discs aggressively cuts the top layer of soil and mixes in straw, soil and residues very intensively.
TrueCut 470mm discs

Carrier can be equipped with a wide range of packers, suitable for a wide range of field conditions. The rubber suspension on the packer absorbs shocks and extends the working life of the frame and the packer.
Single SteelRunner
Single SteelRunner have an aggressive profile crushing clods and ensuring even consolidation throughout the working depth. The single SteelRunner works best on medium to heavy soils and in cloddy conditions. Pending scrapers keep the packer clean in all conditions.
Single SoilRunner
Single SoilRunner is a U-profile packer which uses soil to act against soil, leaving an open cultivated surface. Owing to its design, the single SoilRunner does not clog and the draught requirement is low. Since the U-profile is filled with soil the wear is reduced.
Double SoilRunner
Double SoilRunner is a u-profile packer. The packer let soil act against soil, leaving an open cultivated surface. Owing to its design, the double SoilRunner does not clog and the draught requirement is low. Due to its large carrying capacity it is best on light to medium soils.
CageRunner HeavyDuty
The robust CageRunner HeavyDuty offers a good carrying capacity and precise depth control for light to medium heavy soils.
