The 3 or 4m wide box seed drill Rapid 300-400, is available either as the seed-only version Rapid 300-400S or as the combi version Rapid 300-400C. Thanks to its versatility the machine is able to handle multiple crops, grass leys and cover crops, as well as micro granulates or slug pellets. You benefit from reliable results and a modern design, allowing easy access throughout the machine.
Rapid is a seed drill that carries out seedbed preparation, levelling, drilling and reconsolidation in one pass. It offers a reliable seeding result at high working speed. The simplicity in construction, paired with a high machine quality ensures a long working life and low operating costs. Direct drilling, reduced tillage or conventional tillage – Rapid creates perfect seeding results in all conditions.
Rapid 300-400C/S is equipped with hydraulic metering, powered from the tractor. To match the pre-set seed rate, the metering system constantly communicates with a ground radar, measuring the forward speed.
This very reliable system secures high precision metering, resistant to vibrations and irregularities on the field. Further, the system is very easy to set and calibrate.
To reduce filling downtime, the box seed drills Rapid 300-400C/S have high capacity hoppers. The hopper is designed with a large opening, allowing for fast and easy filling.
The combi models Rapid 300-400C are equipped with an adjustable wall that separates the seed and fertiliser in the hopper, thereby allowing the user to maximise capacity at all times.
The modern design of Rapid 300-400C/S is focused on simplicity and ease of access throughout the machine.
With large platforms accessible from all sides of the machine, the driver get full access to the hopper, the metering system, as well as other important components on the machine. With the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control, calibration is simple. Thanks to the large hopper opening filling is fast and convenient.
The iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control wirelessly delivers an extensive control and monitoring of the seeding process, while driving on the field. Additionally, you benefit from user-friendly remote set up and calibration

An important feature of Rapid 300-400C/S is the versatility it brings to the farm. Equipped with the mountable small-seeder BioDrill, an additional product is added. This enables grass leys, small-seeded crops, cover crops, slug pellets or micro granules to be drilled with precision at the same time as the main crop. Before drilling, the soil is consolidated by the tractor wheels. The pivot packer on Rapid ensures that the same reconsolidation is exerted on areas between tractor wheels.
Pivot packer
The pivot packer on Rapid ensures that the same reconsolidation is exerted on areas between tractor wheels. Pivot packer consists of two pairs of pivoting wheels that are pulled by the tractor lower link arms. The pivot packers two major tasks is to consolidate the soil in-between the tractor wheels to achieve uniform condsolidation all over the machine width and reduce radius of headland turning.
Extra pivot packer
The pivot packer can be fitted with two extra wheels, increasing the carrying capacity with 50%. This option is an advantage on very light soils to prevent the pivot packer sinking too low.
To fit different farming needs and tillage practices, Rapid comes with a wide choice of front tools. The intensity can be set hydraulically from the driving seat on the move, depending on what the conditions require.
CrossBoard Heavy
The CrossBoard Heavy toolbar makes the Rapid drill short and responsive. The turning circle on headlands is impressively small and it is easy to reverse the machine out of corners in the field. CrossBoard Heavy consists of hardened CrossBoard tines with angled wearing plates to provide aggressive cultivation. Clods are crushed and the soil is levelled. The CrossBoard tines do not draw up stones and is therefore suitable for stony fields.
System Disc Aggressive CrossBoard Heavy
System Disc Aggressive CrossBoard Heavy is a perfect front tool for min-till farming. It will handle all conditions from stubble to ploughed land. The two rows of 450mm conical discs will aggressively cut the top layer of soil and mix straw, soil and residues very intensively. The fine tilth created ensures a good seed-to-soil contact, promoting the germination of volunteers and weeds.
CrossBoard Heavy System Agrilla
The system consists of two rows of Agrilla tines in combination with a CrossBoard row. System Agrilla has its rightful place on lighter soils where thorough loosening is required or on soils where the surface is hard. The tines efficiently rip loose large amounts of material for the CrossBoard to break up. System Agrilla efficiently breaks capillary transport of water to the surface, levels the field after ploughing and moves fine material down into the seedbed.
System Disc Aggressive
System Disc Aggressive consists of two rows of intensively working and slicing discs (450mm diameter) that are slightly conical in shape. System Disc is ideal for farms using min till where the fields are levelled. A Rapid equipped with System Disc copes very well with crop residues as all cultivation is carried out by discs.
System Disc CrossBoard Light
System Disc CrossBoard Light is our most versatile toolbar and the most popular choice. It consists of two rows of intensively working and slicing discs (Ø 410mm) that are slightly conical in shape. In addition, a row of CrossBoard tines, levels the soil surface in tough conditions. Compared to CrossBoard Heavy this front tool has a better ability to let through crop residues.
System Disc CrossBoard Heavy
System Disc CrossBoard Heavy is our most aggressive toolbar. It consists of two rows of intensively working and slicing discs (Ø 410mm) that are slightly conical in shape. In addition, a row of CrossBoard tines crushes clods and levels the soil surface. Compared to the CrossBoard Light, this front tool works more efficiently in ploughed conditions.
Rapid has an amazing ability to keep the seed depth under the most difficult conditions. Each packer wheel controls the drilling depth of two coulters by a unique mechanical linkage. The coulters are rubber suspended which ensures a calm operation also at high speed. Depending on model, Rapid 300-400C/S has a coulter pressure up to 245kg, thus enabling an exact seed depth also under the toughest conditions.
Each packer wheel presses the soil down over two rows of seed and one row of fertiliser. This beds the seed in thoroughly and provides optimum conditions for germination.
The following harrow creats a loose evaporation barrier that prevents surface crusting after heavy rain.
Mechanic following harrow
The following harrow is positioned to run in-between the seed rows, so there is no risk of disturbing drilled seeds.

Hydraulic following harrow
With the hydraulic following harrow you are able to adjust the pressure on the go. Additionally it is also possible to use a higher preset pressure on the headlands.
