Tempo WideLining maximises your yield potential

To optimise liquid manure fertiliser spreading in standing row crops, without drastically decreasing the total yield, Väderstad introduces the worlds’ first system for creating wheel tracks without shutting off row units on the planter.

Adjusts row spacing – instead of shutting off rows

Väderstad WideLining hydraulically adjusts 4 of the row units on the machine frame. This creates 1050mm wide wheel tracks adapted for the tires of the liquid manure spreader.

Fully automatic

When WideLining is activated, the machine will calculate the field and automatically adjust the row units to create lines based on the working width of the liquid manure spreader. The row unit adjustment will occur, when the machine is lifted on the headland.

Yield example:

Planter working width: 6m
Number of row units: 8 row units
Row spacing: 750mm
Liquid manure spreader working width: 18m

No system

At every 3rd track that the 8-row planter goes over the field, the crops in 2 rows will be destroyed by the tire tracks of the tractor and liquid manure fertiliser spreader.

This would destroy 8.3% of the crops in the field, leading to a significant total yield decrease.

Tramlining

At every 3rd track that the 8-row planter goes over the field, 2 rows would have to be shut off.

This means that the planter would plant 8.3% less seeds on the field, leading to a significant total yield decrease.

Väderstad WideLining

At every 3rd track that the 8-row planter goes over the field, 4 rows will be moved hydraulically to create 1050mm lines.

Since all row units are still planting at full seeding rate, this means that the yield level will not be affected.
