Väderstad welcomes the Extract inter-row cultivators into the wide range of Väderstad farm machinery. Extract comes in two versions: the trailed Extract L 16-48 and the mounted Extract V 8-36.

Crop height presents a limitation in mechanical weeding, as a low frame height can damage tall crops. The Extract addresses this concern with its design, boasting the market's highest frame height of 31.5 in, enabling a longer weeding season.

As machines become wider, headland management gains importance. To prevent the inter-row weeder from damaging crops as it enters irregular headlands, the Väderstad Extract features a section lift function. This feature lifts individual rows via GPS to a height of 29.5 in.
Extract is equipped with 3D cameras, maintaining in-row accuracy by monitoring and guiding 3D image of three rows of plants, allowing the inter-row cultivator passes as close as 1 in from the main crop. For well-established crops like maize, a mechanical row steering option can be fitted, controlled by two rows of the crop.
The 39 ft Extract L has a frame which can hold two independent 20 ft sections. This enables it to ensure accurate results over two 20 ft planter passes. The machine uses camera technology to guide each section independently to thereby eliminating the risk of damaging crops, even if the connection between the planter passes is not 100 percent correct.
With the independent double-frame solution of Extract L it is thereby possible to increase the working width of the inter-row cultivator, without risking losing precision in one of the planted passes.
