The control system, Väderstad iCon, has been the user interface for customers since its launch in 2015. Through years of testing, development, and customer feedback we have refined the software to the system operating today. As we develop further, and bring new innovations to the market, it is time to take the next step in our interface and user experience.
Model year 2023 includes enhancements to our software including use of zero rate in prescription maps and saving job files in CSV and ISOXML formats improving our compatibility with other industry leading software systems. Adding these features and unlocking room for future additions to the system necessitated a significant change in the iCon user interface.
Moving forward, this interface will be known as iCon 3.0 and will be the software path for new developments in 2023 and beyond. Through extensive customer feedback, we also recognize there is some hesitancy when making a large software change if your system worked as you required last year. To support customers choice, we are implementing a dual distribution strategy for software in spring 2023.
App Store limitations permit only one operating app to be live at any given time. We have a process to access the iCon 3.0 app through Test Flight while maintaining full functionality. This app has generally been used by developers to grant early access to new and updated versions. We have identified a path in Test Flight to provide access to iCon 3.0, while maintaining existing app access, in the AppStore, for customers who don’t want to update this year. Through rigorous testing and review, we confidently stand behind iCon 3.0 and the enhanced features it brings to your farm. The release notes below help distinguish between the two available software versions.

- Start the tractor, engage the machine powerskid and ensure steady 12V power is supplied to the system during any software update.

- Connect to the gateway, close and end any active jobs
- Delete the iCon Control app from the iPad(s)
- Use this link to access and download software for iCon 3.0.3
- Connect to machine gateway, allowing new software to load into the system

- Search for Seed Hawk iCon Control and download the newest version of the app
