The rotation angle affects the cut-out surface
The cut-out surface is shifted by changing the rotational angle (A) of the disc. When working shallow, a full cut-out needs to be achieved with a smaller portion of the disc working in the soil. So, the disc angle needs to be rotated to increase the cut-out surface.
At deeper working depths, cut-out is not an issue, so the disc rotational angle needs to be optimized for soil flow instead. This minimizes unnecessary soil moved to improve tillage performance and lower the risk of bulldozing. And by optimizing soil flow, fuel efficiency is increased.
